crescent moon - tangleation nation
I love tangleations. It's fun to see just how many I can come up with. So I was happy to see that was the Diva's challenge this week. I actually got two tiles done!
The first tile I did was on a spiral - just so I could see how many different tangleations I could do. There are 22 here!
The second really went outside the norm. I cut a large crescent shape out of a black tile and tangled on a white tile behind it. Then I used the white Gelly Roll pen on the black tile. Different, I think.
Both tiles speak the language of zentangle perfectly. I love that you used a zendala and the original tile in this challenge. Your variations are perfect for the spiral and the bold white lines and then switch to black and white in the zendala are very striking!
ReplyDeleteI love how these look Sue. Wonderful job and very creatively different!

Both are lovely but the first one really is a fun tile. Love your interpretation.
ReplyDeleteOh my, how WONDERFUL! That first tile will be a great resource in the future. :) Congrats.
ReplyDeleteThese tiles are outstanding! I feel the first one was truly inspired and shows what one can do with a simple string and only one tangle. Your really opened our horizons!
ReplyDeleteLove the circle one, feel I'd like to eat my dinner off a plate like that lol. The second one is great too of course. Hugs lin
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the spiral version of Crescent Moon. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe spiral looks incredibly 3d. Awesome creations.

I realy like the "plate" bord in dutch. When you eat your meal from it you never now what you eat always meditating at the plate..............
ReplyDeleteWow, these are both stunning! I love the 3D effect in the first and the variations are interesting, but your second one is really really eye-catching with the boldness and negative/positive coloring.
ReplyDeleteOh...WOW...I love them both.
ReplyDeleteFantastic shading!
'Stunning' is the word!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding!! Both designs are awesome. I especially like the black tile with the cut-out cresent shape.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing works! Your spiral seems to lift right off the page.
ReplyDeleteYour second tile is a creative wonder! I never would have thought to do that!
Spirals, shading and great ideas, all make a cresent moon bonanza!
ReplyDeleteI love both of your tiles! Fabulous work! :)
ReplyDeleteThe spiral tile is really amazing. I love the dimension you were able to achieve. I also love the technique you used on the black tile. I would never have known there was a white tile underneath.
ReplyDeleteThese are both Amazing. My favourite is the first one. I love the way your shading gives it depth and also how many variations you have managed.
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful. It's like your serving up CM on a platter. Love all the tangelations and your presentation!
