Quandary

The Diva challenged us to incorporate the tangle pattern 'quandary' into our tiles this week. Quandary is a tricky tangle. It's not hard to do but I find it challenging to get it to look the way I want it to. It's harder to get the spacing laid out so it looks good. You can find the step-outs for quandry here.

I prefer to use quandary as a background or fill pattern, so I put some 'Mooka' in first and then added my quandary to the background. I also used a Renaissance tan tile so I could play with both my black and brown pens.

  1. I think that Quandary plays well with Mooka. I think it depends on the variations you use as to whether it is a background or main tangle. I like the shape and shading of your Mooka.

  3. I think Quandary is hard enough on it's own without trying to figure out how to get it to go behind something LOL. Your tile is lovely and I like it on the tan tile.

  4. Beautiful tile. I agree with Jean, too much concentration with Quandary to try and put something else on top.

  6. Sue I really enjoyed this piece. Your mooka is lovely. What a challenge to put the quandary behind it. The renaissance tile was also a great choice. All around lovely piece.
