Earth day 2015

Earth day (also known as Amanda day) is the challenge this week.  It's been a strange week this week. I almost feel like Alice falling down the rabbit hole. My husband had triple bypass surgery on Tuesday. I've had my tangling supplies with me but I couldn't focus on doing the challenge until yesterday. Thankfully my husband is recovering.

I used one of my hand colored tiles.  I had several to choose from but I ended up choosing the one that had the biggest flaw. I knew that when I finished the flaw would disappear.

I used my colored Micron pens in the 05 size. Shading was done with colored pencils and highlights with a white chalk pencil.

colored tile with just the string.

  1. That is absolutely gorgeous, Sue. You will be my inspiration this weekend to use a colored tile and some colored pencils. I haven't done that in quite awhile. (I love the little touches of white...elegant,)

  2. This is so beautiful Sue, I love the colours! The tangle at 7:00 is new to me, what is it called? Sending healing energy to your husband and you. Tangling is a wonderful way to release the worry!

  5. Wow, Sue, you've really had a rough couple of weeks. Glad your hubby is mending and your grandaughter too! Please be kind to yourself and get lots of rest and vitamin C. Your Earth/Amanda Day creation is fabulous...I love the tangle toward the bottom to the left of 6 o'clock. Could you tell me what that is? Very cool and one of my favorite colors too!
