Everyone is talking about Zentangle, an easy-to-learn method of creating beautiful images from repetitive patterns. It is a fascinating new art form that is fun and relaxing. It increases focus and creativity. Zentangle provides artistic satisfaction and an increased sense of personal well-being  Certified Zentangle Teacher Sue Jacobs will show us how it’s done. All materials will be provided; additional supplies may be purchased.

In this class you will learn the theory and basics of Zentangle. You will learn at least 8 official tangles and create 2 of your own unique tiles. A mini Zentangle kit is included.
Cost: $30.00/person + $5.00 mini kit

* The Basic class is required prior to this class.
-More tangle patterns and more complex patterns
-String variations
-Tangling on a variety of materials
-Taking your tangles to the next level!
Bring your mini kit from the previous class, or your own official  Zentangle kit.
Cost: $30.00/person + $5.00 additional supplies

Class focuses on tangles that relate to nature. Project will be done in class - Usually a greeting card.

Learn new tangles as we tangle on fabric with pens designed to use on fabric. Tangles will include several CZT only tangles. Small tote bag will be provided but you may bring your own fabric/canvas piece to tangle on. Piece must be white or off white.

-    COLOR

Tips on incorporating color into zentangle. Bring extra zing when you add colors. Learn to do mono colored zentangles with the appropriate shading and highlighting. Create multicolored backgrounds before the tangling begins. Sue will give out suggestions on a variety of materials you may want to try. More tangles will be taught from the CZT classes - these will be tangles you CAN'T find online.

A Zendala is a fusion of Zentangle and mandalas. A mandala is a circular design that historically has spiritual and religious significance. They represent the cosmos, or symbolically, a view of the Universe from the human perspective. When these designs are combined with the relaxing aspects of Zentangle who knows what will happen? First you will learn three different ways to create your own zendala string. Then we will learn more tangles to fill it with. More tangles will be taught from the CZT classes – these are tangles you CAN’T find online.

Create either a canvas bag, apron or jewelry with zentangle techniques. As always, new tangles will be taught.

I am NOT a therapist but Zentangle can be a wonderful adjunct to therapy. Zentangle has helped improve the lives of people who suffer from anxiety, addiction, ADD, anger, and stress. Zentangle provides a non verbal modality for feedback, journaling, reflection and analysis, personal growth and increased confidence. I can provide workshops to hospitals and /or hospital personnel to teach them how to use zentangle.
