Happy New Year!
Happy New Year everyone! I'm a New York baby so I was inspired by the ball that drops in Times Square to herald in the New Year. As I was working on this last night I could hear the fireworks outside. Alas, I was too busy working on this and forgot to watch on TV as the actual ball dropped!
This is a standard 3 1/2" tile. I used watercolor paints to do the background - avoiding the circle for the ball. The tangle on the ball is a variation of Tripoli and was done with a 005 Micron. The touches of color on the ball were done with Tombow markers. The tangles on the blue used a 05 blue Micron pen.

Happy New Year - really like your creativity with color - you've inspired me to give it a try - lol - one of these days!
ReplyDeleteI love this! It is the New Year's Crystal ball only prettier. I think I may make a version but it will look like a dandelion puff. Hmmm, the possibilities. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteWell done Sue! Very impressive and most effective, really looks like its switched on.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so 3-D. I love it! Thanks for sharing!
