Challenge #65 - Huggy Bear

The Diva challenge for this week is to try out a tangle pattern called 'Huggy Bear'. This tangle was developed by JJ LaBarbera. Instructions for her tangle can be found  here .

I didn't get around to trying this out until late last night. As you can see though, I had fun playing with tangleations. In the second tile I played with the grid aspects of Huggy Bear and incorporated other grid based tangle patterns. My husband was very surprised when I pointed out that the tangle pattern started out the same in both tiles.

  1. I like how you varied the size of the wheely circles in the first tile. Not many people did that and I love the effect. :)

  2. I really think your tiles dance with the different shapes and placement of your huggy bear. Dancing bears.

  3. Love your tiles - they are so sweet and clearly you had fun creating them.

  4. I like the movement in them both

  5. Way cool - both of them. Love the simplicity and clean lines, yet they both have a lot of depth

  6. Hi Sue, as a newbie and one that didn't get in on this last weeks challenge..I don't understand where "huggy Bear" is in the second one. I thought "huggy bear" is just circles? I love the first one as well as the second design..just not understanding the huggy bear design. Thanks
