Boo Kee and Fremont

This tile features a tangle called Boo Kee - named and stepouts by Laura Harms CZT. As I played with this tangle I kept seeing pearls - and what goes with pearls, diamonds of course! I looked up images of diamond drawing on the web to get ideas of how to draw the diamond shapes. And the lace tangles I played with behind just seemed to enhance the theme.

These pictures are from the presentation at the Fremont Public Library in Mundelein last night. We used basic tangles to create a card for the holidays. I am always so excited to put all of our cards together to see how everyone uses the same tangles but comes out with so many wonderful tangleations.

  4. Love the tile. Like the lace underneath. I have not mastered that technique that you used. Do not remember what they finally decided to call it. Great shading. I like the cards. Will have to tuck that away for next year.

  5. Your tile is beautiful! You're very skilled at shading. I'm only a week or so into tangling. I've quickly found my two weaknesses. I struggle to make mine organic. And I struggle with shading. I'm really good at precision and geometric. It's very helpful for me to see how others shade. Thanks for that.

  7. This is such a beautiful combination - Boo*Kee lends itself to just about anything - the lace behind it really insists that your version of the tangle are lovely pearls. Axx
