The Diva challenged us to incorporate the tangle pattern 'quandary' into our tiles this week. Quandary is a tricky tangle. It's not hard to do but I find it challenging to get it to look the way I want it to. It's harder to get the spacing laid out so it looks good. You can find the step-outs for quandry here.
I prefer to use quandary as a background or fill pattern, so I put some 'Mooka' in first and then added my quandary to the background. I also used a Renaissance tan tile so I could play with both my black and brown pens.
I think that Quandary plays well with Mooka. I think it depends on the variations you use as to whether it is a background or main tangle. I like the shape and shading of your Mooka.
ReplyDeleteThis is really wonderful! I love the understated elegance of your tile!
ReplyDeleteI think Quandary is hard enough on it's own without trying to figure out how to get it to go behind something LOL. Your tile is lovely and I like it on the tan tile.
ReplyDeleteGREAT!!!!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful tile. I agree with Jean, too much concentration with Quandary to try and put something else on top.

ReplyDeleteSue I really enjoyed this piece. Your mooka is lovely. What a challenge to put the quandary behind it. The renaissance tile was also a great choice. All around lovely piece.
