Follow your path, wherever it goes. The tangle used in this tile is 'Nzeppel. It has always reminded me of a cobblestone path so I decided to go with that theme. I used a Renaissance tile, brown Micron, colored penil to shade and a white chalk pencil to highlight.
My path in life is very different than it was two years ago. My husband and I were settling into retirement and enjoying the grandkids. Now that he is gone I am looking at my new life as a widow and wondering what my future will hold. But just like the Zentangle philosophy of 'one stroke at a time', I'm taking things one day at a time. My new phase of life may be a renaissance. We will see.
Oh Sue. This made me cry. Thank you for sharing this. Sometimes the only thing that makes sense is lines on a paper. My heart is with you.
ReplyDeleteLove this tile and the thoughts about the path! Thank´s for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWonderful tile :-))
ReplyDeleteYour Renaissance tile perfectly expresses the dual messages in this week's Zentangle Diva challenge. Life truly is a path---and having reached my ripe old age, I am quite aware that it's not a straight one. Artistically, I love the 3 dimensionality you achieved in your Renaissance "Nzeppel and I greatly respect the courage with which you are facing the sudden turn in your life path.
ReplyDeleteWishing you comfort in your memories and much love to carry you on your way forward.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely tile, but the sentiment in your post is even better. May you find comfort and peace.
ReplyDeleteI wish you finding a new balance and the best for the future, Beautifull expressed in your cobblestone path of life!
ReplyDeleteThere is always a light at the end of the tunnel. The only variable is the length of the tunnel. Your path in the tunnel may be plastered with cobblestones, but hey, these are amazing cobblestones!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour path may be different, Sue, but at least you haven't stopped walking. Lovely tile with a very positive vibe.
ReplyDeleteLovely tile and wonderful words. This tile is the best representation of this challenge I've seen. I wish you happy trails and safe travels on this new path ahead.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a lovely road to wander….
