beads and buttons

Yesterday I went to The Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee. The friends I went with are avid beaders and have raved about this show so I was curious. While I'm not ready to get into a new hobby, I have to admit I was very impressed and inspired. The show was huge. There were so many talented people there showing what they could do. And the goods for sale - well, WOWSA! The selection, the variety, the colors - I think I was on sensory overload. We drove up in the morning and home at night (almost 2 hours each way) so it was a long day. I slept well last night!

I had done this tile earlier in the week. This 3 1/2" tile seems to work perfectly with my visit to the bead and button show. I may have to try making some buttons with zentangle patterns now!

  1. The Bead and Button show? I'm soooo jealous. I've been a beader longer than a tangler. This show is on my bucket list!

  2. Ohh, I like that way of doing a sampler. Nice!! And aren't there some beautiful beads out there? We have a huge quilt show here in Houston every year, and I've been impressed with just the selection there. I've tried beading, but don't get to do much of it with the cats.
