Aquafleur is the newest official zentangle tangle pattern from Rick and Maria. I've always thought it look like something growing in the sea so I tried using other 'sea-like' tangles with it.
I'm living in the cooold Midwest while my brother is enjoying the weather in the Florida Keys. I wish I could throw a virtual snowball at him. Instead I tried to visualize what he might see on a dive with this zendala tile.
I did this on a zendala tile hand colored with watercolor paints. A dark blue Micron pen was used for the tangles and two shades of blue colored pencils added the shading..
So lovely, Sue - really catching the undersea quality...Axxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! Interestingly, I did one in blues and greens too.

ReplyDeleteOh that's beautiful Sue. I love all the sea-like tangles as well. What's the twisty one going up the stem in the background right? I don't think I've seen it before. I love your colouring too. I'm just beginning with colour. Now I know where to look for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI love your pattern choices. They do go so well together in this piece. And I'm always impressed with the way you use color. So pretty.
